The openSUSE 11.2 comes by default with PHP 5.3, is there any simple way to put the
php 5.2, without me having to compile the package source?
Some of the RPM 5.2.
Can I have compatibility issues?
No not really is what I would of thought…
But unsupported, solving all the problems encountered, and probably ill advised I guess you could add 11.1 repos and install those versions. As for the outcome wouldn’t even like to guess. The safer I would of thought would be to get the 11.1 source rpm’s and rebuild at least you would be building against your system libs.
Not to mention looking at the changelog and just the security fixes for 5.3.1 I can’t imagine running old is good advice. PHP: PHP 5 ChangeLog
