Permissions problems in dolphin

I had an issue with dolphin yesterday, I was copying some video files from an android 10 samsung A10S phone and suddenly all the files permissions in the location I was copying to were lost, I could not delete or play any video files, and if I right clicked one file the options to copy, cut, paste, rename were grayed out, I checked the permissions via ls -l and the permissions were ok, but I could not do anything via terminal either, then I opened dolphin as root with the same results, I had to reboot the pc to recover the permissions, the only thing I have changed recently is to doble clic a file to open it and one clic to select it (default is one clic to open), this has happened twice, and it had never happened before, any idea of what could be causing this issue?

opensuse 15.2

thanks

That does seem strange. I assume you’re using MTP connectivity? Anyway, I don’t have a definitive solution for you regarding this, but maybe KDE Connect is worth trying as an alternative means of connectivity.

You talk about a permission problem of a place “where you were copying to”, but you do not provide any information about that place. The minimum is of course to show at least the permissions (and all that belongs to them, like ownership) of at least one of those video files:

ls -l <path-to-that-video-file>

The permissions are 700, it is an entire disk mounted at boot via fstab, it is working just fine as always but I had this issue a couple of times a few days ago, the problem is solved after a reboot but what if this were a server or something that can not be rebooted very often, not the case, but it called my curiosity. Thanks

Not a failing hard disk perhaps? At the very least I would be conducting an fsck of that filesystem. If it happens again, you could also examine kernel messaging with ‘dmesg’.

Smartphone has micro USB 2.0. When using USB 2.0 device with USB 3.0+ controller on a PC you may encounter some errors.
Try to use it with USB 2.0 controller.

It happened again, I think it has something to do with the phone, the motherboard is a DH61WW with usb 2.0 ports, this time I checked the mounts, I am adding some links to the screenshots showing the problem, the disk is sdb and the partition sdba.

After a reboot the problem is solve, I will check the disk with hddregenerator to see if there are some bad sectors.
