Permently change DNS server

I have configured Network Manager with another eth0 entry for openDNS. This works ok if I switch to that configuration, but if I reboot, it reverts back to the normal settings.

How can a permanently set it to stay with the new DNS servers?

Hi
If you check the ‘apply to all users’ check box it should save the
settings.

Thanks for the reply, but you have lost me there. Where is this setting? and how would applying it to all users make the default setting change to openDNS?

I went through the network manager that is present in the system tray area, not through Yast.

Hi
Yes, the tray applet and yes it would apply to all users.

You just need to select “Automatic (DHCP) Addresses Only”
