Penguins....

Hi all

I’m sure I’ve read this already somewhere, but cannot, for the life of me, find out where.

What do the different penguin classifications against users mean? I’m an “Explorer Penguin” but I’d like to know what the different categories are.

Slow day at the office…:expressionless:

The one I know is Flux Capacitor Penguin: Reads the forum as an excuse not to do work. This from observation of the FCP I know best. >:)

That thread made me look at the web interface of the forum to see what it shows for me. Since I am a shaman penguin everything I say is a vague, dark and secret mystery
I think they only count the number of the posts and that changes what is shown, there used to be a list somewhere here what is what, but I forgot where it is.

You realy must have a lazy day. We hard workers do not even have the time to contemplate on such things. >:(

You better start helping people here with good solutions and answers at a high speed. That will change your own classification soon and be to the benifit of the Forums (but not of your boss). rotfl!

They’re all based on a post count threshold. I don’t recall exactly what
the breakout is, but it’s entirely tied to the number of posts one has
made.

And it’s a bit of fun.
I can’t recall the details either

There is a man that will know. You can’t miss him, he’ll have a bag of Poo and a large shovel

I appear to be omniscient, normally meaning all-knowing. However applied to a penguin that’s limited to snow, ice, water, and fish. Oh, and living in fear of Seals.

Hi,

A quick Google search returned the following:

Puzzled Penguin 0-49 (new users start with this level)
Student Penguin 50-99
Explorer Penguin 100-249
Busy Penguin 250-499
Parent Penguin 500-999
Wise Penguin 1000-1999
Omniscient Penguin 2000

No sure if it’s correct, complete or up-to-date.

No, Shaman (post #3) is the missing link (sorry Martin) probably at 2000, and Omniscient (post #7) say 3000. Anything higher is above my paygrade.

DD
be Thankful, one and all

I came up with several amusing replies to that.
But I’m not going to be drawn in to a ‘muck’ slinging competition.

Either way it’s a dirty job, but some poor soul has to do it.
