Pendrive Sony USB3 not opening

today trying to transfer a document to a pendrive usb 3 after inserting the pen and clicking to open with dolphin the pc take some time and after that dolphin is saying "the file or folder in /var/run/media/computer/SONY 32 GB does not exixt, while the led on pen is continuously working

in the usb2 port the pen is showing correctly

what can I do for opening the pen on usb3 door?

thanks

booting into kernel 3.11.10.7 the pen usb3 is recognised and properly working

the problems seems to be with kernel 3.13.xx

how to solve the issue?

Is there any particular reason you’re not using the current openSUSE 13.1 kernel (3.11.10-7)? Can you roll back?

well, the kernel is updating quite often in Tumbleweed, I can remove the new kernels but how to avoid installing the new kernels in Tumbleweed?

and why the new kernels are not recognising the usb3 pen if the old was ok?

Probably by blocking updates in YaST…

That might well be called a “bug” - something to submit via bugzilla.

Ah, now I’ve noticed openSUSE 13.1 and Tumbleweed machines in your signature. Generally, you are advised to post such questions in our Tumbleweed forum:

https://forums.opensuse.org/forumdisplay.php/919-Tumbleweed

Anyway, as Jim has already advised, check for existing bug reports and submit one if necessary.

I locked the old kernel, thanks
for bugzilla I’ve to check how to do…

This might be helpful to you with getting started

thanks,
I’m not a very experienced user or a technical user but I will try

the kernel 3.14 solved this problem also
