Pencil is an animation/drawing software for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.
It lets you create traditional hand-drawn animation (cartoon) using both .
I am getting this error :

did you install using YaST? and, YaST successfully resolve all
dependencies, or did it throw errors? if so, did you resolve those
errors or click ignore/install anyway (or similar)?
i don’t think there are ever any developers here…and, since those
are the only ones who can fix the bug…well, you are just making
noise here…if you wanna try to influence the developers you have to
make noise where they are…
“Bugzilla is no replacement for support. Before reporting a bug, make
sure that it is really a bug. If in doubt, discuss it on the mailing
lists first (opensuse-factory or opensuse).”
and, if you took that step? because the mailing list is where the
developers hang out…i think what you need to do is coax one into
installing the software and trying to start it…
Today I have installed pencil the same way that Anton has. Pencil starts up fine.
I’m using OpenSUSE 11.2, 32bit processor(Athlon XP 1700+ - about 8 years old), my packages are:
rpm -qa|grep pencil
pencil-0.4.4b-22.1.i586
rpm -qa|grep ming
ming-0.4.3-1.1.i586
mingetty-1.0.7s-93.1.i586
libming1-0.4.3-1.1.i586
