PEAP + GTC Authentication

Hi All,

I recently installed opensuse 11.4 and my wireless is not able to connect with WPA2 ->PEAP+GTC authentication method. I can see only MSCHAP and MD5 as inner authentication. I see some old posts in this forum but without any answers. Anybody has idea on how to fix this ? :dont-know:

TIA

I read your post the first time. I did not reply, because I don’t know what GTC is. Looking at the Wikipedia entry, only “Generic Token Card” looks as if it might be a possibility.

If you want help, then:
Explain “GTC”
Indicate whether you are using Gnome or KDE (or other).
Indicate whether you are using NetworkManager, or are configuring with “ifup”.
If possible, provide some indication of where your attempts fail.

Some people have noted that using the gnome NetworkManager applet works better for them with PEAP (compared to the KDE applet). There’s an older thread in the wireless forum explaining how to use the gnome applet with KDE.

and: read/work through the three stickies at the top of this
forum…they help a lot of folks get going…and, the ones who still
need help are told what info they need to post here so the helpers can
help…
