PCManFM unable to mount ext4 or NTFS partitions

I’ve installed openSUSE tumbleweed with IceWM. My file manager is PCManFM. I’m logging in it via LightDM. It’s the only DE/WM I’ve installed.
Now when I try to mount either an ext4 partition or an NTFS partition in PCManFM I’m getting the following error,

Not authorized to perform operation

Okay got it figured.
I thought LightDM would have started the necessary services/daemons with the session but that’s not the case.
polkit agent wasn’t running. So in icewm’s startup script one needs to explicitly start polkit agent. In my case polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1 was already installed so all I needed was to add this line to the startup script,


/usr/libexec/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1 &

This information should be useful tor openbox, fluxbox, i3 and the other WM users having similar problems.
