Hi,
it seems that something is not right with the PCIe Bus on my new tumbleweed system (the mainboard is an Asus X99 Deluxe II). The error is kind of strange because i do not notice any problems during normal usage!
Basically when switching to the console (CTRL + ALT + F1) the screen is flooded with errors of the following type (screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/n8xxf )
[20828.808209] pcieport 000:00:03.0 PCIe Bus Error: severity=Corrected, type=Data Link Layer, id=0018(Receiver ID)
device [8086:6f08] error status/mask=00000040/00002000
6] Bad TLP
maybe it is relevant that in all cases i had a kde/plasma session running from which i logged out (back to SDDM) and then i switched to the console, i did not tested if the errors also occur when switching from a running kde/plasma session but i did not noticed any errors during boot!
The system is 3 days old and i had the errors on the current kernel 4.8.8 and the last kernel 4.8.7. I also use the current proprietary NVIDIA driver: 375.20 (2016.11.18) and had used the last version
36x (2016.10.10), the error message occurred with both kernels and both driver versions.
Again, i did not noticed any problems during using the hardware (especially the graphic card an old NVIDIA gtx 680), but in addition to the graphic card, there is also an PCIe expansion card installed that provides a thunderbolt a USB3.1c and a display port connection, i did not uses this card so far maybe it is the reason for the errors?
I just want to check if this is something i should worry about, thank you.
