can you please help me : my suse 11.1 pc is not turning off regularly since 2 days, i’m wondering what’s going wrong . I did not do anything important but update kde 4.2 , can this be linked ?

Maybe your plasma crashes before it unloads your DE - so it’s possible. Do you see the green opensuse screen - with the white bar - when you turn off?

The nepomuk service exited with error status, but IMHO it isn’t affects the shut-down - you can switch off it in Personal Settings > Advanced > Desktop Search.
Hit the escape key while your box is shutting down.
Any messages with [failed],[skipped] status?
Any error?
