PC goes black during Installation-DVD-boot

Hi!
I try both Installation-DVD and Live-DVD of OpenSUSE 13.2 64bits. Both goes black before it start GUI-wizard.
It boots for some seconds and it seems that when GUI is starting, then it hung and screen goes black.
I guess its something with generic AMD-driver

Computer:
HP Elitebook Intel i7 vPro
AMD Radeon HD 7500M/7600M Series
24GB Flash-card(SSD) + 500GB Harddrive.

This problem i did not have in OpenSUSE 13.1 64bits that i’m currently running.

Yes, it is most likely the Radeon Graphics driver.

You can try, at boot, when you see the Grub menu, go to the second line of the menu with your arrow key and hit enter.

In the menu there is a failsafe mode. Try that, for now.

I am not a Radeon user, but someone who is will show up here to give you further advice.

Otherwise, there are a few other threads here already with information about the Radeon graphics in 13.2.

Good Luck.

Yes, very likely.

On the boot screen, hit the function key for graphic (I think it’s F3) and select “NoKMS”.

Or, if you have a UEFI box, hit ‘e’ on the grub boot menu. Then scroll down to the line that begins “linuxefi”. Append " nomodeset" to the end of that line.

That should enable you to complete the install. You can look into adding the proprietary graphics drivers later.

Thanks!
i choose NoKMS and now it boots
