PAVU not recognising BT headphones

Brand new installation of OS155 … Bluetooth pairs with my Trekz Air headphones but they do not appear in PAVU for directing the output … PC speaker is still used!

I have been through the following post, and done other research, without success. Can somebody help please?

How do I use bluetooth headphones?

When I had a similar problem, my workaround was:

sudo systemctl restart bluetooth

I did that once per login (to desktop).

My system is set to start KDE from a saved session. At one time, I resaved my session while the BT headphones were enabled. And, after that, it seemed to work without the restart.

At a later time, there was a power failure, and the system went to emergency mode. I had to “fsck” the file system containing $HOME. And, after that, the BT headphones stopped working properly, so I again had to restart the bluetooth service each time.

Yes, I’m a little puzzled by that behavior change.

Ok thanks @nickert… now BT headphones appear in PAVU and work as expected after using the command line supplied “sudo systemctl restart bluetooth”, even though I had previously restarted BLueTooth service via the YaST GUI!!

Strange days indeed!
