Against all good advice, I think, I applied the following patch:
patch:desktop-data-openSUSE-extra-gnome-84.noarch conflicts with libpulsecore4.i586 < 0.9.10-26.3 provided by libpulsecore6-0.9.11-0.pm.2.i586
I changed things around to resolve the dependencies. Since that time I cannot get Banshee to play mp3 files.
Where do I go from here?
More information.
Here is what I did
Problem: patch:desktop-data-openSUSE-extra-gnome-84.noarch conflicts with
libpulsecore4.i586 < 0.9.10-26.3 provided by
libpulsecore6-0.9.11-0.pm.2.i586
Solution 1: Following actions will be done:
deinstallation of libpulsecore6-0.9.11-0.pm.2.i586
downgrade of pulseaudio-0.9.11-0.pm.2.i586 to pulseaudio-0.9.10-26.3.i586
install pulseaudio-0.9.10-26.3.i586 (with vendor change)

I guess I somehow need to undo or recover from this change that I made.
