Passwordless YAST

Hi all,

Is it possible to enable a user to start YAST with no password?

Thanks!

No. And that’s security, so it’s fine as it is.
Yast remembers the password for a while when ‘remember’ is ticked.
Since Yast is (should be) only started when you have a need to mess
with the installation or hardware, the times you need to enter the
password shouldn’t be so many as to kill the security.

As this remark makes me think that you are not used to security on
Linux please read this ‘SDB:Login as root - openSUSE’
(http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Login_as_root)
