How can I set Sddm so that I can log a specified user out of one “desktop” and then back in to another without a password?
There is only me on this computer and I like to set passwordless logins to do that.
Before leap or maybe it was “Kde 5” with Kdm I could just go into the control panel and set it but there is no such setting in this control panel. I know there is a setting in Yast for it but that doesn’t affect Sddm.
I haven’t fully gone through what sddm can do but the opensuse man page on sddm is pretty good, better than some on the web. You might find that autologin can be a one off or for ever.
I posted some info about what is where on the system in the thread on isolating different desktops. Only odd thing about that so far is that scripts that can be run on and after a log in aren’t exactly where one of the directories suggest.
