Partition Imaging software for Linux/openSUSE

Is there a partition/disk imaging program (similar to Norton Ghost/Acronis TrueImage for Windows) for Linux/openSUSE.

Specifically, I need to be able to store (ie backup) & restore the image from NTFS partitions.
Is the latest clonezilla a stable one & able to do above properly? Or any similar alternatives?

Partimage is a good one

gparted

And System Rescue CD equipped with Partimage and GParted. Useful for rescue kit.

gparted is for managing partitions (resizing, deleting, formatting, change file system type, etc; similar to Partition Magic or fdisk (for FAT16/FAT32)). It does not have disk imaging capability.
You can read about what an ‘image’ is here (tho’ it is w.r.t. Norton Ghost, a commonly used imaging program, that is used to image Windows (VFAT/NTFS) partitions- to best of my knowledge cannot image Linux partitions; but the link above gives a good overview of what imaging as a form of data backup is all about).

Used Parted Magic 3 Live CD to create an Linux ext3 partition image to an NTFS partition. Image was successfully created.
