In 32-bit openSuse 11.4 with KDE, the panel is transparent. When configured for auto-hide (to better use the screen space) the panel comes up transparent. The status panel of Firefox, for example, is visible through the panel, making it hard to read. I’ve not found a way to alter transparency. On the 64-bit version of 11.4 (another machine, also KDE) the panel is opaque, which I prefer. Any suggestion on how to make the panel opaque in the 32-bit oS? I know if the panel is always visible there is no conflict, but would rather auto-hide it.
Thanks.
