I tried every boot option I could find (acpi=off or ht, vga=extended, pci=nommconf but could not install - the screen would go blank, then a mottled white pattern.
I reverted to 11.4, which installed with no problems, other than requiring AMD graphic drivers to be installed.
Looking on Google, I see no similar problems with other distributions.
Did you try the kernel load option: nomodeset? If not, you can type this in, before selecting the normal openSUSE load and press the enter key. This option is included in failsafe which you did not indicate if you had tried it or if that had worked for you. The nomodeset option changes the graphic driver being loaded and indicates a compatibility problem with the default video driver that is being loaded and a need for you to tell us more about the video subsystem on this computer.
