Page Down not working in KDE

I’m having a weird problem on my acer aspire laptop running opensuse 11.2 where page down no longer advances a page in kde/x…works fine on command line in pico…page up, home, end and the arrow keys all work fine. I’ve checked keyboard config and page down is defined normally similar to page up…any ideas where to poke next?

Maybe I would have gotten a better response if I said "I’m moving to Ubuntu or back to windows cause opensuse can’t even get the keyboard right.

I can’t say, because I joined later than your message. I try not to
respond to old messages, nobody seems to see the replies to old
messages.

I would think your problem is too rare, so no resplies.

I would try creating a new user. If it works, it is the configuration.
If it doesn’t, try another desktop, like gnome. If it works, stay and
put a bugzilla.

My wild guess is that you have defined that key as an accelerator or
hotkey for something, by accident.

I didn’t reply because, though I have had Acers for the last five years, I’ve never had the problem - so didn’t know how I could help.

i didn’t reply 'cause i had no idea how to fix it, and had never ever
heard of it before…

but, if you are going to Ubuntu or Windows:

my motto: Use what works!
bye.
