As the title said the Packman Repo this week for some reason it’s so slow for me just for refreshing my repo it takes 30mins just to get refreshed and when I update it the speed of packman is so slow at 16 to 1.6kbps. Now I tried to search for solution on it, on how to fix this super slow repo and the only thing I saw is just change the packman repo link. Now I found the website where I change for alternative this the website and this the new Link/Repo I pick https://ftp.fau.de/packman/suse/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/
and my previous repo is this https://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/packman/suse/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/
. Now my question is the link is safe and the new repo I put? And second will it be cause damage on my system? Cuz I only want some alternative for my old repo because it’s so slow though.
That mirror has no problem itself (refreshes at 1.2 Mb/s here, likely limited by my ISP).
Maybe your network connection or your internet route to German sites has some problems and changing to another German mirror may not solve your problem.
That said, the website you refer to is “safe” and changing mirror will not cause damages to your system.
Tracepath to ftp.gwdg.de

Enabling both is discouraged. In case of malfunction of enabled ftp.fau.de
I can readily switch to ftp.gwdg.de
by disabling the former and enabling the latter.
I just use VPN now, sir. Since today the packman repo is still slow for me. And I think my ISP is the one who to blame here.
If it is your ISP that would affect all repos. Have you tried a different mirror closer to where you live? I moved the one in Aachen which appears to be the closest to the UK.
