packages instalation

how to install these set of packages. (coz these packages are asking when installing oracle 10g on SuSE 10)

from which place, should it select to install.

Start the YaST Control Center, then [Software] -> [Software Management]. Search for your required packages and do install.

You can see Zypper/Usage/11.0 - openSUSE if you want to use the command line.

yh i hv installed most of the packages from YaST
but these 2 sets were not there…

package pdksh**

is there a way of installing these 2 packages…

Those two exist in the main online repository.

See Software.openSUSE.org and use the “Click-Install” button to do install.

@Spyhawk, the OP is running SLES 10 :slight_smile:

@ushman, use the search feature as described above except use
SLES/SELD10 in the dropdown, download and install manually with;


rpm -Uhv <name_of_rpm>

For the gnome-libs, you need to download the SLE SDK DVD
