PackageKit is locking up zypper. How do I "ban" it permanently?

Hi,

I am very much annoyed by PackageKit, as it often locks up zypper for a long time. In YAST> Software Management there used to be a “taboo” option that I can apply to PackageKit. Now just to permanently lock it does nothing to solve the problem. Deleting it is useless because it’s back in subsequent software updates.

Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.
