Package version from zypper is different from online Package Search

Hi, I was browsing the online Package Search and I noticed that KDE Connect version 1.0 was available on the repo of my system version (Tumbleweed) (Link).

I’ve checked and noticed that my installed version was still 0.9, so I did a sudo zypper up, and with my surprise no updates were shown.

This is what I have available

sudo zypper search -s kdeconnect*

Basically, besides the standard Tumbleweed + Packman repos, I’ve only added Infinality Ultimate (but it cointains only a few packages related to font rendering and nothing else).

Why are there differences between the online sources and my current system? Is there something wring with my configuration?

No.
It’s just that kdeconnect-kde 1.0 has been accepted to Factory/Tumbleweed only yesterday, and isn’t published yet. Should be in the next Tumbleweed snapshot though.

For technical reasons, the package search searches through the Factory project in OBS, not what actually is in the repo.
This can cause such temporary inconsistencies.

If you cannot wait for another day or two to get 1.0, it is already available in KDE:Extra though (since over two weeks actually… ).

Thank you for the explanation, I wasn’t aware of these technical details. I can certainly wait for a couple of days, it is better than having to add more repos.

It seems that I was browsing the site with a perfect (or wrong) timing

Thank you again.
