Package Updater Does Not Install Adobe Flash Player NPAPI (flash-plugin-24.0.0.221-release (64-bit)

Hi,

Using Gnome Desktop (64 bit). Package Updater updates all other packages without problem but for Adobe Flash Player NPAPI (flash-plugin-24.0.0.221-release (64-bit). It downloads the package and then in the end says: ‘Failed to process request - Installation aborted by user’. I have installed identical plugin: flash-plugin-24.0.0.221-release (64-bit) from Packman site but the Package Updater continues to offer the above package for update.

Suggestions are most welcome.

Have you tried going in the Yast Software Manager and marking it as “taboo - do not install” ?

But that would disable all updates for flash-player completely.
It’s probably better to fix the actual problem…

Please post the output of the following commands:

zypper lr -d
zypper se -s flash-player

Also, try to update using “sudo zypper up” and post the conflict/error message you (likely) get.

Haha. :shame:

Did not look, thought it might be a separate item. Thanks.

Hi,

It seems the code

zypper se -s flash-player

has set it right. The ‘Packman Repository’ seemed to be out of date.

sudo zypper refresh

has updated it. For the time being there seems no problem.

Thanks a lot.
