What kind of integration does owncloud have with the iPhone? I see it has some collaboration modules built in, but what about access to files?

The documentation explains that ownCloud offers comfortable access and
control over files via the WebDAV protocol.
So it depends if your iPhone supports that standard protocol. If so you will
be able to mount ownCloud into your file system and use all your local file
management features. If not you have to rely on the typical browser
functions offering up- and download of files.
