Overheatng laptop ryzen 9 | nvidia 2060 max q

I am new to openSUSE and the problem i encountered came into play after nvidia driver installation for running dota,
but since then the device has been running constantly at uncomfortable temperatures.
and the battery life dropped to like 30 mins tops i am a complete bigginer when it comes to operating systems so anyonee helpppp!!!

Although I don’t have a direct answer, here’s a recent thread about an overheating issue - might read thru it:

lol read this so what you basically telling me is that i have no way out of this

No, I’m not suggesting that … that thread shows some good tools (software utilities) that can be used to assist in troubleshooting and identifying the underlying issue.

You’ve already hinted that the overheating began after installing NVidia drivers. Where did you obtain those drivers?

i got those drivers from yast

the thing is that the thread you sent me too did indeed have almost the same problem as mine but in the end there was no fix to it per say most of my results came out normal too (i think i am not sure) .
but in the end the problem there was basically that they wanted to identify the problem i know where my problem came from i just don’t know how to fix it because sometimes i literally have a single firefox tab open and the temps are at 60’c

i am not a pro linux user so i don’t really understand a lot of it. i do understand some of the debugging but i don’t understand the in depth things like what to remove how to debug and all i would really appreciate some help with a bit more of the mansplaning
