Hi Everyone,
I live in South Africa. Over here we have an IT/Tech magazine that is available free of charge, it is mostly available at news stands at mini shopping centers and computer shops.
I have decided to write them a letter stating that I am a Linux enthusiast and that I have completely switched from Windowz to Linux (openSUSE 11.1) and that I am very satisfied with my move.
Can you believe that they actually posted my letter. I am really glad about that because now so many more people will actually see that Linux is working great in the real world.

Or another possibility so many people will think, who is this loony?
lol!
Real people sharing their experiences about a product is a good form of advertising.
What was it that made you switch from windows (which version) to OS 11.1?
Considering your location, did you make VERY clear you are using openSUSE, not Ubuntu?

Well I have been a Linux enthusiast for about 3 years now, and I have been growing very fond of openSUSE and the level of support I get from this friendly community. I love the way Linux works and its stability.
I have been using Windows XP Professional and it has become too costly to maintain. I bought a new Pentium Dual Core 2.5 and installed openSUSE straight away, connected to the internet and installed a few programs like VLC and a few others so there is nothing that my openSUSE cant do that windows did and it does it alot better.
I can now even show of with the 3D desktop effects! openSUSE is better than Windows - period. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate at work and it hang twice already, in such way that I needed to restart the system both times.

Yes, I made it very clear that I use openSUSE. The reason that I dont use Ubuntu is because I dont like Ubuntu very much. First of all Ubuntu does not have YAST!! 2nd I do not like the default brown color of Ubuntu - it looks ancient, 3rd I totally love KDE, and openSUSE provides the best KDE experience. 4th openSUSE has a great community!!
Thanks
