OT Network problem - help requested.

I have inadvertently closed off my access to a wireless bridge and would appreciate a bit of advice if anybody has time please! I need to access the devices to update the firmware and also change their management address to management vlan to avoid this problem in future. I don’t have physical access to the devices.

In short, I have a pair of wifi bridge devices which were given management ip addresses on a small subnet (/27 subnet mask) several years ago and not configured for vlan access.

Our network has grown substantially over the years and the bridge these devices provide now carry traffic from several vlans and are connected between Trunk ports on managed switches at each end.

I can create a temporary vlan with Untagged connection to the wifi device with the /27 subnet but unfortunately this would be an in band part of one of the vlan subnets crossing the bridge as follows:-

Wifi devices are on xxx.xxx.xxx.164/27 and xxx.xxx.xxx.165/27.

Vlan subnet xxx.xxx.xxx.129/25.

I am trying to think through if an in band subnet which will be tagged as a vlan can co-exist with the larger subnet on a different vlan.

I could just try it but am reluctant to crash the network and would appreciate any advice or issues to watch.

Please forgive the OT question.

Forget it. No easy solution and wifi device is too old to do the clever stuff. Thought I would ask but clearly not a good idea. Budge
