Hello guys, I would like to confirm if the ISO file of the x64 edition posted @ the download page, really matches the MD5 SUM.
I have downloaded 2 times the ISO file for the x64 edition, directly from my office where we have a “decent” internet connection (8 MBPS). And both times I have finished getting a file with the same MD5 error, as shown below:
Yes, I have installed using it and it was fine. Use another program to
do the download. If you are on windows you cannot use the FAT32
filesystem. Also don’t use internet explorer but try Opera or Firefox
as I’ve downloaded with both with success.
Actually I downloaded the ISO image using Firefox v3.0.3 I didn’t use none file manager, I downloaded the file directly from the browser.
So you can assure the MD5 posted @ the page is correct ? (Note that I’m asking just about the x64 version).
May be I should try downloading the file from a FTP Server to assure the integrity of the file, I have tried to find some FTP server that allows to log in, using my simple FTP client (FileZilla) but I have not been able to find one.
Well I’m gonna have to keep trying to find a FTP server, better, instead of continue downloading it from “http”.
Yes… the version on my wife’s laptop is 64-bit opensuse. Assuming by
x86 you mean x86_64 and not ia64 (Itanium) you should be fine.
Hopefully if you were after an Itanium build you would have said so
already but since nobody is really using Itanium generally it’s probably
safe to assuming that isn’t what you’re seeking. Try a torrent client
to see if it will fix up your big download without making you download
it all again. Make sure the sizes are the same in case it’s off by even
one byte.
Good luck.
