OS X 10.10 vs. Ubuntu 14.10 vs. Fedora 21 vs. openSUSE Factory

Phoronix did a comparison of 4 systems on a 2013 MacBook Air and openSUSE (Factory) came out pretty strong! Great to see some recognition and positive press for the 'lil green guy!

The fix must have been in - it’s hard to believe that OS/X did the worst - on Apple hardware?

I think that is a trend :). See also earlier http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=osx10_ubuntu1410&num=1

Anyway nice that the little green one was on top in many cases, probably it depends on that Ubuntu 14.10 runs Unity 7.3.1, Fedora 21 runs GNOME Shell 3.14.2 and the green one KDE 4.14.3 desktop.

Hold your horses!!! It was supposed to be joking a little bit ;). No I don’t really know. Is this kind of test dependent on what DE enviroment its running on? Or is it only raw-data against the dist without the GUI involved?

Would be nice to read some comments so I can value tests like this in the future.
