Normally, if you have a working Internet Connection, you are better off disabling the CD repository that was set up for you when you installed openSUSE so that it will NOT attempt to load any required software from your CD or DVD drive, but get the most current version online. If you start YaST / Software / Software Repositories, find and highlight the CD entry where the listed URL starts with cd:/// and uncheck the Enabled check box under Properties on the bottom left of the screen and then press OK on the bottom right to save your selection and YaST should no longer request your original CD as a repository to load software from and instead use the online sources.
Thank You,
I went in and deleted all repositories, checked marked community repositories and tried to reload. Message came up repositories not defined ???
This is Firefox on version 11.4 that I am posting with. Very Strange!
Emphasis mine. You deleted all repositories??
Post the output of
su -c "zypper lr -d"
(Or the output of just ‘zypper lr -d’ after you became root with ‘su -’.)
Here the output from zypper:

Oh good, that looks OK. Except for one thing: the TYPE column has “NONE” where it should say “rpm-md” or “yast”.
So, I think the software management has problems accessing the internet. (I suppose you suspected as much)
In order to not leave you off without anything, here are threads with similar problems:
Yast Internet Access (IPV6 issue)
11.4: Routing (Default Gateway) or DNS problem?
And there are bound to be more.
