good day dear opensuse friends…
my setup
opensuse 12-1 on a medion notebook. [see below]
i want to install tbird with enigmail and so on… i have done the installation with yast:
tbird
enigmail
via yast installed
gpg also via yast added
i ceated a mail account in t bird and wanted to start workin with tbird.
then i got the follwoing message:
the GPG-Agent-Aapplication for your GnuPG-Version 2.0.18 could not get startet…
what does that mean-
do i need to have more things - the lib assuan-things. or should i add / offer some keys?
do i need to proceed with
a. kgp
b. oenPGP - which is a application of the enigmail
at which stage should i bring the keys that i have stored on a usb-stick into play…
love to hear from you - i am allmost lost with that enigmail stuff-
by the way
this might be of interest:
asswort:
linux-wyee:~ # LANG=en_US.UTF-8 gpgconf --check-programs

The agent should be started by the desktop, not TB, so at least you need to
logout and in. Also, I think you need to tell your desktop you want it. One
way would be to create your own key. Depending on your desktop there should
be some setting for it. I can’t try myself because I’m on 11.4. I also have
libassuan0, I don’t know if it is required. YaST should be tell you it is,
but there are errors.
