Hi everyone
I do not know if this is the right forum but I will give it a try:
I have an OPTIMUS laptop (Dell Alienware 17) with an nvidia GeForce GTX 675M graphics card. Bumblebee, as usual, does not work but I’m not asking how to fix this - I’m too tired to do it one more time.
$ sudo zypper se -i -s bumblebee
S | Name | Type | Version | Arch | Repository
--+------------------------+---------+------------+--------+-------------------
i | bumblebee | package | 3.2.1-16.1 | x86_64 | X11_Bumblebee_13.2
i | nvidia-bumblebee-32bit | package | 343.36-1.1 | x86_64 | X11_Bumblebee_13.2
and
$ sudo zypper se -i -s nvidia

As one may notice, I am stuck with nvidia-bumblebee-32bit 343.22-41.1 and x11-video-nvidiaG03 340.65-36.1.
- Are both of these drivers ? my system boots but
I can not run anything that needs GLX - I get “Xlib: extension “GLX” missing on display “:0”.” 1. Which one should I remove? I tried removing x11-video-nvidiaG03 but I ended up with a system that would not boot and I had to re-install - As I do not to to run graphics-intensive applications (GLX extensions is something I need though !) but am rather interested in experimenting with CUDA which nvidia driver should I install? and where from?
Thank you for your time to read through my problem.
Regards
