maybe you have the same problem: I am running OpenSuse 13.1 domU over OpenSuse 13.1 dom0. This domU was installed as hvm and I was happy for some time. Yesterday I have applied updates and I can no longer boot my domU. Startup process stops and after this I can see the boot maintanence login. I can log in and enter some basic commands, so I found there are no disk devices in /dev/ directory. Maybe this is the problem, probably system can not find the root file system that is listed in /etc/fstab
Anyway, I have recreated the domU from backup image and it works, but I have to forget about updates.
Question: did anybody see this problem?
