Hi, I remember having a problem with audio in mandrake (or mandriva) and in there control center app being given a list of commands to run from the cli.
At the time I thought this brilliant, as I had no idea of what commands to run.
My suggestion is to take this a bit further, YaST is the first place many will look to solve problems.Is it feasible to offer
a tree list similar to the hardware info tab that offers the most commonly used cli commands to diagnose a problem with that hardware, scripts could maybe also be available to collect info to be assessed by the user, or in a forum.
There are a number of other ways something like this could be implemented, so any thoughts ? Is it worth considering ?
