Ok … days spent and no joy yet, I have OpenVPN working on other flavors of Linux along with all of my MS boxes but I after installing OpenVPN on OpenSuSE v11 (64bit) I can not locate the GUI for it anywhere even though Yast says its loaded for KDE v4.04 … HELP … I have searched the fourms and find nothing …
Any direction as to where/what to look for would be of great help to me as well as others I am sure …
So the lack of replies to this is telling … it appears no one is using OpenVPN and SuSE 11, Thats too bad as I was hoping to use this version as our standard Linux deployment … Guess we will keep looking.
You mean the client side or the server side GUI? On my SLED 10 box it
is configurable via Network Manager, which is the little two-computer
icon in the lower-right panel of the screen (when plugged in) or the
little signal-strength bars when using wireless. Click there, go to VPN
connections, and set one up. I’ve done this a few times and assume it
is the same in opensuse 11. If it is not there, or if you mean the
openvpn server, it is probably still close by. I’m using gnome as well
so the specific of knetworkmanager (as i think it’s called) may differ
slightly.
Good luck.
