openvpn configuration dialog grayed out

I have just switched from Ubuntu to OpenSuse 12.2 with the Gnome desktop and am trying to setup a connection to a VPN server using openvpn. When I go to Applications/System Tools/Network Connections, choose the VPN tab, click Add, choose OpenVPN, and click Create, the configuration dialog that comes up is grayed out so that I can’t type anything in. I assume the reason is that I have to authenticate somehow, but I can’t figure out how to do that. Can some one please help?

Thanks,

Mike

Open yast to install a new package, and search for “vpn” (no quotes). You will find some packages named “NetworkManager-…” that support different services. See if one of them is what you need.
