Opensuseupdater shows yellow warning symbol -refresh failed

Hi,

my opensuseupdater-kde (seems to be a kde4 version, although I use kde3) shows only a yellow warning symbol when trying to refresh. If I close the applet, restart it it shows a green symbol saying “no updates”. When I click “check now” the yellow symbol appears immediately (so fast that I don’t think it connects to the internet).

In /var/log/zypp-refresh.log the last entry is from 2008-07-11. IIRC a update for some gpg-keys complaint some days ago, but I’m not sure (it was late and I wanted to shut down my pc)

A manual update (zypper ref, zypper up, zypper dup) works without any problems (saying: everything is up-to-date; It even installed two updates).

Only opensuseupdater-kde does not. And that for days now.

Any help is welcome…thanks

Henning

Same problem here, i got no idea what could be. Any suggestions?

Tanks.

I get an error that the packman repo couldn’t be found. I think they are having trouble with it.

If you hold the mouse over the icon it should give the error messege.

Yes, the error is: “refresh failed” (as said in the title, I forgot to mention it in the text…)

Oh, and the problem has nothing to do with some special repos. As I wrote: A update via zypper (in console) oder Yast is possible; it seems to be a problem with the applet.

Does the applet have a logfile? In /var/log/zypper.log and …/zypp-refresh.log there are no entrys from opensuseupdater-kde…
