Hi. since I’m new to opensuse I don’t understand how the updates from official opensuse repos are delivered. Are they free or should I register to novell? because when i go to update configuration it asks me for a registration and a delivery code. where can I find the right procedure to get updates?
are you using openSUSE or are you using SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop
(SLED)?
updates for the former are free and no registration/delivery code is

on how to make YaST and/or Zypper work smoothly for you…
there is however an annual subscription cost for the commercial
SLED…and questions on it are best raised in forums.novell.com

Patches are normally announced as available unless you have turned this feature off
