OpenSUSE updater : no daemon reply ?

Hi,

My Opensuse updater terminates showing the following message:

kdesu(25276)/kdesu(kdelibs) KDESu::KDEsuClient::Command: [/usr/src/packages/BUILD/kdelibs-4.0.4/kdesu/client.cpp : 196 ] no reply from daemon.

Does anyone know why does it fail to update, with the message?

Quit the Updater.

Open a terminal and become su and then do:

zypper ref

then

zypper up

Excellent. I never bother with the updater, you can choose to not start it at boot -
Then update with zypper or Software Management
