openSUSE suitability as a server?

There are many people using it as server. Thousands.

If I have to install a server, my first choice is openSUSE, because I know
it best.

But there are many buts. Main current one: systemd.

With systemv I can hack it as much as I want, it is fully documented and
known. Systemd is desktop oriented…
