I have a question.
To my knowledge opensuse isnt shipped with any restricted drivers or software. but when i installed the 11.2 rc2 kde livecd athleast flash was working out of the box. so why is it so?
did you add the packman repo?

Flash is found on Non-Oss as you correctly stated it doesn’t allow much but does allow some Java etc …
