Hello opensuse
I just got a fujitsu PC PH300 pre-installed with windows 8 which I’m absolutely going to delete and install linux. only I was completely not aware of the secure boot thing with pre-installed windows pc.
in the fujitsu product sheet it says:
Operating system compatible openSUSE Linux
can someone explain what does it mean openSUSE compatible? in contrast to debian for example or any other distro.
does it have to do something with secure boot?
Thanks

I would take that to mean that openSUSE will run on it, and that they
tested it. Other distros may work fine as well, but they didn’t test
them.
Probably doesn’t have anything to do with secure boot; if you’re going to
remove Windows anyways, you can disable secure boot entirely.
