I’m not sure if I’m posting this in the right place. It’s a support question, but kind of a statement as well.
I have lots of older computers in my testing lab, and they all have CD drives. I install Linux on a few of these computers because of the powerful shell scripting which makes testing a breeze. The problem is that the minimal mode installation (or text or server mode, what ever you want to call it) is only available on the DVD.
So who do I have to talk to or hint at to get 11.2 released in a minimal server CD as well ;). This would be an absolute God send.
There is a mini-ISO for installing from the network. If you have a
network install source setup for each OS you want to install a mini ISO
will probably boot any of the distros you have ready as long as you
point to the correct install source.

need and ready for you: http://susestudio.com/
Good luck.
