Opensuse Leap on ac100 / paz00

Hello, I tested the Leap versions from 2018.07.02, but none of the images are booting. Only Tumbleweed images work, I hope this is fixed in later versions … https://en.opensuse.org/HCL:ToshibaAC100

Hi
Which images did you test? At what point before u-boot, after u-boot etc?

I would suggest either a bug report, or jump on IRC Freenode channel #opensuse-arm.

@malcolmlewis
Thanks. For some reason openSUSE-Leap15.0-ARM-XFCE-paz00.armv7l-2018.07.02-Buildlp150.1.1.raw.xz is now booting. :wink:

Anyway, there are a lot of errors using a package manager, maybe somone can help me to fix these problems:

Hi
AFAIK things like libreoffice are only built for x86 (Tumbleweed), x86_64 and aarch64.

The reason you see the packages as the update repository information covers all packages/arches so you will see it, but not built for your arch.

http://download.opensuse.org/ports/update/leap/15.0/oss/

If you browse to http://download.opensuse.org/ports/update/leap/15.0/oss/armv7hl/ you will see no packages…

ok thanks, which replacement programs are recommendable on this (low ram) arm device?

  • firefox
  • thunderbird
  • LibreOffice -> abiword?

But pam-config-0.96-lp150.3.3.1.armv7hl.rpm should be available?
I can not update because of this missing file.

Hi
I see them down in;
http://download.opensuse.org/ports/update/leap/15.0/oss/rpms/armv7hl/

Can you force a cache rebuild and see if that helps…

Hi
Looks like a mirror issue… (I know there have been some issues with rsync…so might need a report to admin@o.o)

If you click on the details option for the rpm, how many mirrors in your locale do you see?

http://download.opensuse.org/ports/update/leap/15.0/oss/rpms/armv7hl/pam-config-0.96-lp150.3.3.1.armv7hl.rpm.mirrorlist

I see one here in the US and one in Portugal… What you need to do is use that mirror rather than download.opensuse.org (or set in your /etc/hosts file), if you edit the repo URL it should find it then…
