On board there are 3 HP 22m monitors with a resolution of 1920x1080. Today (2022.11.16) after installing fresh updates, the system stopped seeing 2 out of 3 monitors. And on what she sees, she set the resolution to 1024x768 and does not allow her to change it. Writes: This display only supports 1024x768 (4:3) resolution. X11 sessions could use an unsupported resolution with no guarantee of uptime, but Wayland sessions do not.

Please tell me how to fix this?

Can you boot and run all displays OK from a previously installed kernel version? There is a known issue with the 24.28 kernel that I don’t remember what is about, but may be this. Another kernel update is reputedly on its way soon to solve.

Information provided is skimpy. Please run sudo inxi -U, then provide output from

inxi -GSaz --vs
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | susepaste -e 10080 -n kapa6a3er

so that errors and additional configuration information can be evaluated. I suspect you had/have NVidia’s proprietary drivers installed, and the new kernel’s initrd wasn’t rebuilt correctly.

Thank you for responding.

At the moment I can not give up-to-date information on the bug, since I reinstalled the system. I had to do this in order to continue to fulfill my current tasks given by the employer.

At the moment, I did not install drivers for nvidia, leaving nouveau. It is enough for my current work.

You didn’t even try a prior kernel before waiting on a response here?
