Good morning,
Sorry for my English (translator)
Nostalgic for the time of my training and my first Linux on Suse, I installed OpenSuse
However, many applications take a long time to start.
The worst is Firefox. Strangely some applications start normally.
I tried Tumbleweed or Leap-
On the machine I used Fedora KDE without problems.
I also tried on another PC to eliminate a hardware-related cause.
My skills end here.
Who has a solution, lead?
Known issue?
Thank you in advance

Some questions:
-
Are you using Plasma Wayland or Plasma X11?
-
Apart from Firefox, which other applications are noticeably slow to launch?
-
Start an affected application from a terminal window eg firefox. Anything interesting reported as it launching?
-
Does
firefox --safe-mode
start significantly faster? -
If you create a new user account, then login as that user, do you still observe the same ‘slow launch’ behaviour with the same applications?
Good morning,
After many tests, I realized that the problem is with my wifi.
In my WiFi settings, I set DNS to 8.8.8.8.
It has been working ever since.
However, I have an identical PC, with Fedora. The network configuration is the same on both machines, and before my change the network settings were identical.
So I still don’t know why it didn’t work on Susa. But that gets around the problem.
So, what was your DNS before - using DNS from your Internet service provider? That might be the issue. We never use our provider’s DNS. (no need to show actual other DNS).
Also, your solution suggests the only applications that were affected are “Internet related”.
Also be sure to set 8.8.4.4 as the secondary DNS
Thank you,
Before, there was no DNS configuration, default configuration.
I tried 192.188.1.1 and it works too.
