openSUSE: Kick out PowerPC and bring in Netbooks

I know, peoples with PPC will hate me for this idea…But i ask me if it is not better to gave up the openSUSE for PPC and bring out a openSUSE for Netbooks? It is only a idea…what you think about?

Why not both?

Doesn’t openSUSE successfully install now on various netbooks?

Customize the install and it works fine on “Netbooks”.

Having just a customized installation compared to having a fully blown arch for another system is two slightly different things (in both scope and requirements).

I am successfully running openSUSE 11.1 on my Acer Aspire One, with both working WLAN and webcam.

Installing the WLAN driver took me about 5 minutes, webcam worked out of the box. Configuring isn’t really that much work.

Yes i have too openSUSE on my netbook and it works fine…but i mean a lot of distros have a netbook version of the software…i mean a small version optimated too be great on the trendy small ones…
Maybe it don t need a extra netbook verson, just a bit optimating openSUSE for small displays and small hardware…

My thread is only i idea…and it is for thinking about it…in fact a lot of the new sells are netbooks…and they are not only used as second pc! It would be bad for openSUSE to oversleep this trend and after wondering about nobody use openSUSE…a lot of netook-user have linux installed, but not so many have openSUSE on it. openSUSE should be more attractive for netbooks, thats what i mean…
