openSuse is not detecting network

I recently reinstalled openSuse 11 with KDE4 and now, suse isn’t detecting my network.

Before I reinstalled, I had Suse 11 with Gnome. The network ran fine both wired and wireless. I haven’t changed anything other than the gui. I dual boot with Windows and Windows detects the network just fine.

Its cable that uses a router than can be either wired or wireless. I perfer using wireless because it’s in the other room but, it will not detect any wireless networks anywhere. Currently, I have the ethernet cable pluged into the computer but, suse doesn’t detect there’s any network at all.

What the heck is going on?

Hi
If your running KDE 4.0.x, there are a lot of issues with KDE4 off the
dvd install, I suggest you have a look here and upgrade to 4.1

KDE4

If not, consider dropping back to KDE3 for a more stable desktop.
