I am trying to install SUSE Linux in VMWare Player and I am running into some difficulty. It keeps returning YaST2 Wrong Digest errors and while I can skip these errors during the installation process, at the end of the install it fails to install GRUB for some reason, and I can’t complete the installation.
The same disc installs fine in Oracle VirtualBox, so I don’t think the disc is at fault. However I need to do the install in VMWare as it is part of some self-study I am doing and I would really appreciate any help from anyone who is familiar with running VM’s.

Well, that’s a bad disk error, there is no way round it. Normally, with
vmware, we do not use the disk itself, but the iso image file on hard
disk. How you do that depends on your host operating system.
You can boot the installation disk and select verify.

In which case you should have asked in the virtualization subforum here.
Now, you will have to request a moderator to move the thread.
